GATED COMMUNITY ALONG THE BANKS OF THE BELIZE RIVER
MILE 54, WESTERN HIGHWAY, 15 MINUTES FROM BELMOPAN
Olde Mill, Cayo's premier gated community, along the banks of the Belize River, is not just an on-paper proposal, it is a reality - with completed homes, homes under construction, and an equestrian centre. Being situated only 15 minutes from the country capital of Belmopan, the terrain stretches between the Western Highway and the Belize River. Olde Mill was created by John Roberson Jr, and his wife, Mariam Bedran Roberson, on the former site of the Roberson family's timber mill. They have carefully left in situ, all the larger trees, winding the private drives tastefully throughout.
A plethora of philodendrons, orchids, and wild heliconias grace the grounds. Seasonally, hear the howler monkeys in the distance, in the wild hills across the river. Select from riverfront, lakeside, or rainforest lots.
Across the road, in front of Phase 2 of the project, you will find the innovative dream of John (aka Tre) Roberson 3rd, The Belize Equestrian Academy. Students from all over Belize board their horses, or use the school's mounts to hone their riding skills, enjoy the companionship of fellow horse lovers, and just have a good time. The Academy, although only in its second year of operation, has hosted several shows at Olde Mill, with riders from Belize and Mexico participating. Also, the Belize Academy's equestrians have participated in international riding competitions in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
